Auch in der \u00dcbersetzungsbranche revolutioniert KI die Art und Weise wie von einer Sprache in die andere \u00fcbersetzt wird. In der Regel funktionieren diese Anwendungen nur f\u00fcr gro\u00dfe Sprachen, w\u00e4hrend Minderheitensprachen au\u00dfen vor bleiben. Das soll sich f\u00fcr das Ostfriesische Platt nun \u00e4ndern. Seit Anfang 2024 arbeitet Tido Specht an einem ki-basierten \u00dcbersetzer, der auf die W\u00f6rterbuchdaten von oostfraeisk.org sowie weiterer Textsammlungen trainiert wird. Ziel des Projektes ist es ki-basiert Texte von Deutschen in Ostfriesische und andersherum \u00fcbersetzen zu k\u00f6nnen. Die Beta-Version des \u00dcbersetzers wurde am 17.11.2024 in Aurich vorgestellt.
